Jackie will guest DJ
We attended a milonga (El Pulpo's birthday bash) at Ideal and spend much of time enjoying the ambiance and watching the dancers. We loved the music - the tandas flowed and created energy - "logical" but emotionally stirring. The cortinas were pleasing and provided just the right mood for transition.
"The Argentians sure know how to DJ a milonga", we said. "They even make the traditional stuff exciting".
(We love all tango music but are passionate about nuevo) It turned out that the DJ wasn't Argentinean by nationality at all - it was Jackie Wong. She also played a couple of sets of new music and they fit with total comfort into the overall flow of the evening. > Everyone got what they wanted, elegantly presented.
" I loved the mix of music that Jackie chose. Something for everyone.
Traditonal to the edge of the newest in Tango music. Thanx for the ride Jackie!"

Jackie's DJing?
To me it´s just like her...
First of all: bold and innovative.
She plays very interesting non tango music so people can experience dancing tango with more than just traditional or conventional tango.
It´s normally a "dangerous" field, but she does it gracefully and with very good taste. She is caring with the dancers in the sense that she is connected to their energies and needs in a way that she "feeds" them the music they want to dance to
(or that they "would" want to dance to).
She has a large variety of styles that she can offer and she is generous and open minded enough to consider what people want
and not just what she personally would listen to.
When she plays music it never gets boring and the milonga flows with a whole spectrum that goes from fun, exciting, energetic to romantic, relaxed and nostalgic.
